   That is cool that it was found. I wonder if new technology helped find it. Or possibly that the ocean floor has changed and it had been covered and now there is change in the ocean that made it findable? I’d like to find something like that of significance.

  I’m not positive of what natural occurrence uncovered it, but that area is on the “ring of fire” meaning it is in an area where many earthquakes happen .
