Judge Calls For Knives To Be ‘Rounded’ To Stop Stabbing Deaths. Seriously.

“Kitchens contain lethal knives which are potential murder weapons and only butchers and fishmongers need eight or 10 inch kitchen knives with points,” the judge said. This is a quote from a judge in the UK, Judge Nic Madge.

Since their gun ban, murders with knives have skyrocketed, and they even recently launched a campaign to try and get people to stop carrying knives. Seriously.

Since the ban on guns, Shooty McShooters have turned into Stabby McStabbers. Did anyone see that coming?

If the UK gets their way, knives will be banned and the bad guys will have to do one of the following:

Get a gun on the black market
Get a knife on the black market
Buy a baseball bat
Buy a screwdriver
Buy a shovel
Buy a 2×4
Buy a van
Buy anything that can be used to kill someone
It’s not so much the tool that’s used, but rather how people respond to what’s happening. Like, for example, the US is home to hundreds of millions of guns, and 99.9% of them are never used to kill someone. However, we also see a rate of some 2,500 self-defense uses with guns each day in the country.

So what exactly does the judge want done?

He wants manufacturers to produce knives with rounded points for domestic use and those with points to be sold under strict rules.

Want a pointy knife? You’ll have to be in a trade that requires pointy knives.

He realizes that many of the people that get these knives are teens, and that they’re getting them from their homes, since most normal households have knives in the kitchen.

“A few of the blades carried by youths are so called ‘Rambo knives’ or samurai swords. They though are a very small minority.

“The reason why these measures have little effect is that the vast majority of knives carried by youths are ordinary kitchen knives. Every kitchen contains lethal knives which are potential murder weapons.

“Accordingly, it is very easy for any youth who wants to obtain a knife to take it from the kitchen drawer in his home or in the home of one of his friends.”

I’ll confess; I grew up in a house that had knives in the kitchen. We had a lot, actually, because my parents cooked at home every day. It’s funny though, because all of my friends also had knives inside their homes, but none of us took them out of the house to stab people.

Could it be a cultural problem? Could it be a gang problem?

No, apparently it’s a knife problem.

While the UK wants to ban everything under the sun that people can use to hurt other people, the citizens of the UK are seemingly forgetting something: Before they know it, they’ll be cooking with unsharpened pieces of metal and defending themselves with kitchen chairs.
