They are idiots. I hope future employers keep this in mind. Disrespectful, entitled, people.
I guess it is their right to walk out, in a sense peaceful protest, but some one from the school invited him. Did the students not have a say in who the speaker was?
I would say, it was probably a big slam in the face to the other graduates. They knew Pence would be speaking, they should have never went to the graduation to begin with.
Reminds me of a time when a very intelligent man that was very, very special to me, said “No, I will not go with you to see Bill Clinton speak”, but then he quickly changed his mind, saying that he had enough respect to go to an event where a the past President of the United States would be speaking. These students should have had the same respect!

I agree with you. Whether they oppose his politics or simply too stupid to understand, he is the Vice President. He is a part of our history. In my time, I was honored to listen to Vice President Spiro Agnew stump for Nixon in 1972. In 1976, I drank cold Blitz beer and ate Carter peanuts while working the phones With Chip Carter the would be President’s son. I was in the front row to see candidate Jimmy Carter speak. It turned out to be a massive mistake to help him get elected but hey, he did serve 1 term.
