MMM This is an interesting article. The overtime pay expansion was affecting people at my place of employment. As Union president of the classified union, this pay expansion is of interest to me. There are numerous positions that I believe should be classified instead of exempt tech. Admin has argued that these positions work varied hours and therefore should be exempt tech. I believe this expansion would have eventually put more employees back in the classified union. It will be interesting to see how this overtime law works out, if it stays blocked or not.
