Many thoughts here. Like why do we keep deporting him, it costs us money and obviously he just comes back. Maybe we should just give him life in prison, since we are paying for him anyways. Maybe we need a law that after the third crime, we hang them. Wait, why should we give them three chances.

Enforce the laws on the books. Both federal AND state laws. Oregon for example has the threes strikes you’re out law. On the third felony it is life without parole.

I maybe wrong, but I dont think the 3 strike laws can be enforced on illegals, thus my earlier comments. If I am wrong and the 3 strikes can be enforced, then like you said enforce the laws on the books. However, this incident happened in Kansas so Oregon law isn’t much help.

Illegals are not citizens but they get many of the same benefits of citizenship. One of the “benefits of citizenship” is U.S. constitutional rights. These rights are extended to all that are in the U.S. legal or not. Under Obama even the murderers in GITMO who are actually P.O.W.’s are given constitutional rights. Therefor the laws cover all people that are in the U.S. I used Oregon as an example of a state that has a three strikes law. Many states have that. You’re right though, this horrific crime happened in Kansas.

It has been many years since I worked in law enforcement, so maybe I have forgotten, or am mistaken, but for whatever reason, I think that some illegals were deported instead of prosecuted. Maybe cost? I agree, that if they were prosecuted, they were extended all rights.
I just don’t know, maybe I am totally mistaken. when I read headlines such as “Man who was deported 10 times since 2010 faces rape charge in Kansas”, the words deported 10 times just makes me cringe. To me it screams that something is flawed somewhere.
