The Cowardly Democrats.

In my opinion the actions taken by the democrats of the Wisconsin state senate has been nothing less than cowardly at best. As a former elected official, I know firsthand how it feels to know that I was about to lose a debate on an issue that I believed in. During the time that I served on the Board of Directors for Rockwood Water People’s Utility District in Rockwood Oregon, I had the guts to stand my ground and make my case. There was never a time that I would consider not letting the people of the sub district that I represented have a voice on the board and walk out of the meeting. However, the democrats of the Wisconsin state senate seem to think differently. In their mind, if it appears that their side is about to be voted down then they need to run and hide. What about the people they represent? Do these cowardly democrats actually believe that the people who hired them to represent them, deserve to be unrepresented in the Wisconsin legislature while they throw their fit and hide? The people of Wisconsin deserve better. They deserve to have senators that will stand up and make their case rather than to act like little children and hide. Even if the republican majority defeats them, they will have done their job by voicing their opinion and voting. Regardless of the personal opinions of these cowardly democrats, their constituents have a right to representation. They should go back to work and let their constituents decide at the next election if they are right or wrong or face a recall election.
